| Abstract |
Let $P$ be a function on $(0,+\infty)$ different from
$+\infty$ and $\not\equiv -\infty$. A connection between
behaviour of this function and the growth of the function
$Q(\sigma)=\sup \{ P(t)+\sigma t: t>0\}$ is investigated.
