Abstract
A map $f\colon X\to Y$ is called almost continuous if every nonempty subspace~$A$ in~$X$ contains a point of continuity of the map $f|_A\colon А\to f(A)$. It is proved that the~hereditary Lindelöf number is preserved by almost continuous maps and that every compact almost continuous image of a space with countable net is second countable.
